Uchiura is nationally-renowned as the number 1 in horse mackerel aquaculture. It is still full of natural areas, like the deepest bay Suruga Bay and the highest mountain Mt. Fuji in all japan. Ikesuya is a shop and a restaurant, where a variety of cultured fish are prepared and served by members of IKS (who are fishermen’s wives) . They serve various dishes which use horse mackerels as their main ingredient. We are proud of the quality, freshness and delicate flavors, so we guarantee a wonderful gourmet meal for you! Moreover, Ikesuya organizes tour of not just the area, but also of himono or dried fish plants. Tourists can have a hands-on experience on how to prepare fish before it is dried. There is a difference between store opening hours and restaurant opening hours.I didn't know about it and I couldn't eat it at about 3 o'clock, but thanks to the boss's greeting that he still can do the sashimi rice bowlThe sashimi is really fresh and delicious, so if you go to Uchiura, it is recommended to eat and go here.

We had a set of Aji fried meals!It was a fluffy horse mackerel and it was very delicious.Although it was Monday, it was quite crowded at noon, but I was able to eat without waiting so much.On warm days, terrace seats may be good!
